The 6th Wine Tourism Awards were recently held in Madrid. The event, organized by ACEVIN (The Spanish Association of Wine Routes), awards the best projects and initiatives carried out by different bodegas in all the spanish wine routes.
Bodegas BAIGORRI was awarded with one of these special mentions for the Best Wine Tourism Landscape-Spot at this 2022 edition.
These awards, which are held each two years, have 14 different categories in which wineries and wine routes can participate. In this 6th edition a total of 93 proposals were presented by 24 out of the 36 wine routes that are present under the brand Wine Routes of Spain.
This recognition is a new impulse and motivation for BAIGORRI, which is always aiming at reflecting the rich wine heritage of the region and showing all its visitors the great work and know-how its wines are made with by means of its different wine tourism proposals and always under the high quality standars of the DOC Rioja
Located in Samaniego, at the foot of the Sierra de Cantabria, the winery is surrounded by different plots of vineyards that they use for their wine makings. The varieties the winery grows and produces are Tempranillo, Garnacha, Maturana and other local minor, always working them following a sustainable and enviroment respectul viticulture.
The current recognition obtained, together with the Travelers Choice Award, recently given to BAIGORRI by the web site TripAdvisor, settles BAIGORRI as one of the must wineries to visit.
