Bodegas Baigorri joins the B Corp movement to be part of the transformation of the global economy

– As a B Corp company in the wine sector, we are among the companies leading a global movement for an inclusive, equitable and regenerative economy and working to accelerate systemic change.

– Being a B Corp means that Bodegas Baigorri has been verified as complying with the highest global standards of social and environmental impact; that it assumes the legal commitment to take into account all stakeholders; and that it demonstrates accountability and transparency in its performance, available to the whole of society.

“To be B is to aspire to be the best companies not in the world, but FOR the world”

As a leader in this systemic change, BODEGAS BAIGORRI thus becomes part of a global community of companies, with more than 8,000 companies worldwide from 153 industries and distributed in 77 countries that use the strength of the company to generate a positive impact, advocating a systemic transformation that enables the creation of a fairer, more inclusive and regenerative economy.

The B Corp standard measures management performance across the company as a whole. Companies must pass a lengthy and comprehensive impact assessment process around five key areas: environment, customers, community, employees and governance. It is awarded by B Lab to companies that are leaders in their social and environmental commitment after passing a rigorous evaluation process through which the companies must pass a lengthy and exhaustive impact assessment process in five key areas: environment, customers, community, workers and governance.

The daily work of these 20 years in which BODEGAS BAIGORRI has worked in a non-conformist way innovating to work with coherence, respect and integrity from a holistic knowledge of wine to return to each small plot its innate value offering its most original and expressive version; to recover the richness of its environment; and to enhance the traditional knowledge revaluing the work of our community. At the same time it demands a clear responsibility for continuous improvement and pride in the daily work of all those who make it possible to tell others and encourage them to do so.

“Joining the B Corp community together with our specific accreditation for sustainable viticulture Fair’N Green consciously places sustainability and continuous improvement as cross-cutting pillars throughout the entire value chain, commitments and decisions with the whole community of which we are a part and with which we have a commitment beyond winemaking” says Pedro Martínez, owner of Bodegas Baigorri and Bodegas Granbazán.
