Bodegas Baigorri (Samaniego, Rioja Alavesa) and Bodegas Granbazán (Vilanova de Arousa, Rías Baixas) have joined the Forum of Renowned Spanish Brands (FMRE) in the category of Brands with High International Potential, following the latest meeting of the forum’s executive committee, which approved the incorporation of both wineries a few days ago. This recognition highlights the work carried out by the two wineries in promoting Spanish wine abroad and their commitment to quality, origin, and the identity of their respective territories.
The Leading Brands of Spain Forum is a strategic public-private alliance that brings together several of Spain’s most prominent companies with an international presence, with the aim of promoting Spain’s image and reputation through their brands. Being part of this organization implies joining a network of companies that represent Spanish business excellence and share a common vision based on internationalization, innovation, and the promotion of brand value.
The incorporation of Baigorri and Granbazán, both owned by the Martínez Moreno family, strengthens the positioning of their wine projects on the international stage. From Rioja Alavesa, Bodegas Baigorri has established itself as a benchmark in contemporary winery architecture and in the production of wines by gravity that faithfully express the character of their terroir. For its part, Bodegas Granbazán, located in the Salnés Valley within the D.O. Rías Baixas, stands out for the elegance and uniqueness of its Albariño wines, deeply linked to the Atlantic landscape that witnessed their birth.
Both wineries share a philosophy based on respect for the vineyard, sustainability, and the constant pursuit of excellence, values that are reflected both in the quality of their wines and in their growing presence in international markets. Currently, Baigorri and Granbazán wines are sold in more than 45 countries, helping to positioning Spanish wine as a product of prestige and authenticity throughout the world.
As part of this new development, Bodegas Baigorri and Bodegas Granbazán will be present on May 24 at the institutional event of the Leading Brands of Spain Forum, where they will share space with other companies from different sectors that are actively working to strengthen Spain’s image on the worldwide stage.
This recognition marks another step forward in the consolidation of both wineries as ambassadors for Spanish wine and the rich wine heritage of two unique territories: Rioja Alavesa and Rías Baixas.
