Rioja con Coraz\u00f3n is a charity campaign to benefit C\u00e1ritas La Rioja, which was launched last Christmas in its first edition together with 25 wineries from the DOCa Rioja and with the collaboration of the wine guild and Carlos Echapresto. In this campaign, each participating winery sells 300 charity bottles of crianza wine, with a personalised label for the campaign including the brand name of each winery. From the sale of each of these bottles, which was carried out through the wineries’ own channels, \u20ac2 goes to C\u00e1ritas La Rioja.<\/i><\/p>\n

Rioja Crianza is far too often a wine category, whose quality, trimmed by industrial production and massive output to commercial success, rarely promises what the name suggests. Crianza red wine made from the varieties Tempranillo (90%), Garnacha (5%) and a small percentage of other native ones, sourced exclusively from vineyards located in Rioja Alavesa.<\/p>\n
After a manual picking, all the grapes are hand-selected using vibration and selection tables. Long macerations and intracellular fermentations with indigenous yeasts in conic stainless-steel tanks. Natural extraction by gravity. 14 month ageing in French and American oak barrels.<\/p>\n
